Coaching and guiding caregiver’s who have family members coping with Dementia, Alzheimer's or an acquired brain injury (ABI).

The Caregiver’s Angel™ is a specialized care program to help caregivers with the challenges of aging parents. Created by homecare specialists, Arcadia Senior Care, The Caregiver’s Angel™ was created specifically to coach and guide individuals who have family members coping with dementia, Alzheimer's or an acquired brain injury (ABI).

“These days, family members such a daughter or son often find themselves suddenly thrust into the stressful role of being primary caregiver to an ailing parent or relative,” says Rohit Tamhané, president of Arcadia Senior Care.

“They are busy, stressed and tired. They are concerned about their family member's health and wellbeing. They may be challenged by any or all of the following:

  1. Understanding how dementia/Alzheimer's or ABI is affecting their loved one.
  2. Trouble adjusting to the role reversal.
  3. Unable to consistently communicate effectively with their family member.
  4. Other family members are not being co-operative as they would like.
  5. The family member is being difficult and perhaps refusing help.

As a result, the caregiver does not know what to do. He or she does not know how to co-ordinate present and future care for their family member. They may be worried about costs and don't know where to go to get the support and expertise they need to make the right decisions.”

This is why we created The Caregiver’s Angel™, to help family members cope effectively with the challenges of aging parents.
